RCC Marketplace Disclaimer

RCC Marketplace is designed for the advertising of RCC employees’ personal goods, along with the services of RCC clubs and non-profit organizations. We do not accept commercial advertising, including postings promoting the businesses or hobbies of employees.

Several posting restrictions are in place to ensure that the mission of RCC Marketplace is served. These include:

• Submissions may be posted no more than three times, and should not appear in consecutive weeks.
• The post submitter must be the point of contact and list a work phone number. Exceptions will be made for adjuncts or employees without a work extension.
• When promoting fundraisers or seeking donations, the name and phone number of the benefiting organization must be included.
• Employees should only use the site to sell items that belong to them. Selling items, including cars, which belong to others is not permitted.

All content, services, products and software advertised on RCC Marketplace are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. Riverside Community College District (RCCD) disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, without limitation, those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

RCCD, its trustees, offices, employees and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, consequential, incidental or punitive damages.

In exchange for RCCD allowing you to advertise through RCC Marketplace, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify RCCD for any claims or lawsuits arising from advertisement on this web site, from any claims or lawsuits involving bodily injury or property damage arising from the use of the products or services sold over the web site by anyone, including buyers or others suffering damages.

The RCC Public Affairs and Institutional Advancement Office reserves the right to decline submissions that do not appear to conform to this disclaimer. Exceptions will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
